my HP Slimline Desktop is not detecting my OEM suppied sd card reader, and all driver update support issues have been tried and failed. Please advise is you have a solution.

absolutely, and every possible combination of cards to their adapters, i.e., samsung was sleeping with sandisk, etc.! lol

it did work before going medieval, windows insiders again (beta builds). I have exhausted all resources on the windows forums that I know of as far as the work arounds, common sense fixes, etc. One thing caught my eye earlier today, in device manager the realtek card reader(driver) didnt appear in the windows/system 32 file where most of my HP's "other" drivers get pulled from...this is in another file altogether which I can't stop thinking about for some reason? Solved: Not really, but a workaround I'm currently utilizing is the add-on reader I snagged recently at BB their brand Insignia, normally don't go this route but...hey, thanks for hitting me back friend! ty es
