I would like to add a second SSD to replace the unused optical drive but the sata power cable is a small one which wont fit my SSD. The small sata cable shares a small 6-pin power block with a larger sata cable directly onto the motherboard. I'm at a loss as to how to overcome this. Any assistance appreciated

Hi Wb2001, thanks for the quick answer. Followed the link but whilst I can see that this is a double sata power connector, the other end doesn't look anything like the 6-pin block that attaches to my motherboard. IMG_0513.jpgIMG_0514.jpg

@tomtc01,

Simple answer, get a SATA power splitter cable.  There is a NewEgg site for the UK.

@Wb2001 think I may have worked it out from your response. The 15-pin male end goes into the sata cable connected to the 6-pin block? Sorry I misunderstood before

Cheers
