Greetings,
Welcome back to the forum.
I am not a HP employee.
Your PC has a 2.5 inch SATA HDD now.
I see no reason why you can't install a 2.5 inch SATA SSD.
The only problem would be the size of the SSD you install. HP recovery media will look for a 1 TB storage device.
The HP recovery media may not work if you install anything less than a 1 TB storage device.
You will have to use other recovery methods if you need to restore the operating system.

Hi Filozof,
You're very welcome.
You can do a Samsung, Crucial, Adata, WD, or others.
They all are the same dimensions and use the same SATA data and power connections.
The drive capacity size of less than 1 TB will only mess up HP recovery media. Your motherboard is compatible with SATA SSDs.

Hi Filozof,
I may jumped the gun on the HDD size in your PC.
It is a 3.5 inch drive; thanks wb2001.
You should be able to use a 3.5 inch to 2.5 inch HDD adapter to fit a 2.5 inch drive.
I am not sure as I have not worked on the inside of your specific product.
You would have to take a look to see what you have in there.
The data and power connections are compatible and the SATA SSD will be recognized by the system.
Regards
