There is actually quite of bit of software updates for your L1Q39AV system
Select windows 10 and 64 bit in above URL
In addition to a recent BIOS release (Aug 15, 2022) there are 6 firmware releases including one for Seagate hard drive. I did not see any for the SSD. I counted about 25 previous versions of the BIOS for your system. There is a lot of optional devices for your system as listed here. Probably some of the firmware and release updates only apply to some of the optional equipment.
Under "Client Security" I saw the HP "Cloud Recovery Client" software so it seem you can download all software that was originally installed on the system. That might be Windows 7, 8 or 10. If you are concerned about what is on the hard drive or the SSD (if that is the boot drive) then you can download the full restore package from the cloud. If it is not windows 10 they you will have to run the still free upgrade to 10
If I bought a used computer from an auction I would replace the boot drive and install the original software from the release DVD or the cloud. If from a retail store then it would be safe to use if when it was turned on it immediately went to Window setup screen
[edit]
An alternate option to ensure the system is "clean" is to do a windows 10 reset and include the option to remove everything. You would do this immediately after the initial setup. This means going through the setup twice. https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1013064/#Win10
You will also have to download and install software that is unique to your hp computer as it is not in the Microsoft reset functionality.

Not all Samsung products have firmware updates
HP, Dell, Lenovo, Apple, etc can partner with manufacturers to tailor the device to their system.
For example Dell has this update for this specific SM871 version
HP also releases firmware updates on occasion.
What is your product id? Possibly there is a firmware available. I occasionally see firmware updates for NVMe. usually to fix problems with trim
For example, Samsung PM961 MZVLW256HEHP is a rebrand of Samsung 960 EVO series, the PM961 was designed to be sold to OEMs, mostly.

Thank you for your feedback. Product Model: MZ-7LN2560. Firmware: EMTO2H0Q - this firmware is the same which was installed at production time 09.2015. Since it is so old, I thought it would be a good idea to update. I have checked on HP Support assistant, HP PC Hardware Diagnostics, Windows update - no newer firmware for this SSD available.

Indeed, HP offers lots of updates even for older equipment such as Prodesk 600 G2. That was the reason I have chosen it. I have been on HP support page and did not find any update for my SSD unfortunately. First thing I did after receiving PC was to update bios to latest firmware, install Windows 10 from scratch via USB created on Microsoft website. Then TPM was upgraded from 1.2 to version 2.0. In addition I have turned secure boot on as well as memory integrity under Device security. The PC was bought in ebay from reputable Auction company selling lots of these with option to return it, etc. After turning on PC for the first time, I saw Windows installation screen with option to choose language, so it seems all was configured correctly from seller side. But being too cautious, I anyway installed Windows 10 from my own usb. To sum up, is there any chance that ssd firmware which had been modified by somebody earlier with malicious code, could have survived reinstalls and not been detected by Windows security? SSD wear level is only 11% meaning there is still 89% left.

It has been known for several years that malware can be inserted into SSD and there are documented cases of hacks into motherboards after manufacturer and before insertion into OEM systems.
Google reports on SSD malware https://www.google.com/search?q=can+ssd+firmware+have+a+virus
Basically, if the SSD can be programmed then the possibility exists it could have malware.
I spend a few minutes googling and did not find any reported malware in SSD, just reports that it can be done.
there is even doubt of that Supermicro server being hacked in the first place
My opinion, worth about 0.02c, is you are more likely to get hacked clicking on a web site or an email link warning you about trojans in an SSD than actually getting a trojan in your SSD.

Thank you. I also assume there is little possibility of having virus in SSD firmware, still wanted to have 100% certainty by updating firmware. Unfortunately HP does not offer any updates for this particular model.
