updating & installing additional RAM

I just bought this  new PC (HP Pavilion Desktop - TP01-0145a).

It currently has 16 MB RAM  in one memory slot. There are 4 memory slots in total, and currently I have 3 empty memory slots.  II wanted to increase my RAM to 32 GB. and have ordered an identical 16 GB of RAM 

What memory slot should I use when installing this additional RAM for optimal performance or to work at all?

Also, with the  remaining two memory slots can I install 2 RAM sticks  that are identical to each other but not the same make or specs to the RAM already installed?

Back to your question, you have in pair "In the case of a motherboard with four RAM slots, it's probable you'll want to install your first RAM stick into the slot labeled 1. A second stick should go into Slot 2, which isn't next to Slot 1. If you have a third stick, it would go into Slot 3, which will actually be between Slot 1 and Slot 2. Finally, a fourth stick would go into Slot 4".

Thank you for your great reply    I presumed it would have only two slots, but when i ran the  "Speccy"  program it indicated 4  And upon opening the case I saw 4 slots. The only motherboard diagram I could find was a general diagram for or that series not of my actual motherboard
