@x23are -- change cpu and get a 150w adapter ?
Is this the processor that you intend to use: Intel® Core™ i9-9900K Processor (16M Cache, up to 5.00 GHz)
It seems to require 95 Watts by itself. So, definitely, your 75 Watt power-supply will be insufficient.

As suggested by Itsmyname, the new CPU requires more wattage than your old CPU. In addition you may have to add fans to help cool the CPU especially if running at turbo speed.
There are several versions of the 800 G5. One optionally comes with an RX-560. If you have that model you may have enought power to add a better cpu.

Finally i upgraded to i9 9900k. i buy a 150w ac adaptor ( for T cpu series you can use original 65w adaptor and for cpu like 9700 or 9900 you can use 95w adaptors and for k series you must use 150w adaptors)
the board support i9 9900k without problem but when you order from hp they put a special heatsink for better cooling down cpu. (with this heatsink you can't use GPU or sata hdd ) .
whit normal heatsink the temperature and fan speed was too high and i turned off turbo boost for lower temperature and decrease fan speed. and now it work like a giant.
if anyone want to use most power of the CPU must order the custome Elitedesk 800 G5 mini from HP and they put best heatsink for it or buy a heatsink like this :this
