I am trying to upgrade my Envy h8-1414 HDD to SSD. I can see the SSD in BIOS. I cannot see it in any other view (disk management, disk partition, etc.).

Thanks for the reply. I finally got the system to recognize the SSD. I basically stumbled across the solution by following another post on how to switch from RAID to AHCI. My system would keep rebooting and finally ran the HP diagnostics. On a whim I went through the HP advanced support. Here I found another way to select AHCI. Finally my system started with AHCI enabled and I was to initialize my SSD and then clone my HDD to the SSd.

@Rick1120 , welcome to the Community.
Do you have the SSD connected to either SATA 0 or 1? This would be for the boot drive. Also, check the BIOS to make certain that AHCI/RAID is enabled.
Did you clone the HDD to the SSD?
