Unable to identify mobo via HP website.  I'd like to upgrade RAM, looking for tech specs.
Website says serial num invalid.  Product num not recognised
HPSupportSolutionsFramework-13.0.1.131.exe fails to install despite no visible errors

Do I really have to open the box?  It's a bit inaccessible. 🙂

msinfo32 gives me:

See the HP Quickspecs for the model series at the link below, page 20 for the amount of supported memory by form factor.

HP ProDesk 600 G6 Commercial Desktops PC

According to the specs, the PC can support up to 4 x 32 GB of DDR4-2666 MHz memory.

Hi Paul, thanks.
How can I be sure I have the original motherboard/mainboard/system board?
Mine doesn't have integrated wifi, for example.
HP web and System Info seem not to use the same ID details 😄
Looks like I might have to wait till I can open the box and look 🙂

You're very welcome.

Built in Wi-Fi is an option that very few of the PC's come with, but 100% of the system boards come with the M.2 Wi-Fi card slot.

The Crucial memory report also indicates that 128 GB of memory is supported.

You can also run this command in Windows Powershell as administrator to confirm how much memory your PC can support:

Get-CimInstance -ClassName Win32_PhysicalMemoryArray | Select-Object MaxCapacityEx, MemoryDevices

Thanks again Paul.

The quick specs and other info you gave me are the right ones.

I guess there are several variations of the model I have (purchased second hand and wonderful) but being unable to find a match for my ID & serial numbers (and the i5 10th gen processor) as identified by various software was concerning.

I wanted to make sure I got the right RAM for upgrading.  It turns out the system is quite flexible so I'll try to get it done today.

Website issue identifying the board still a problem but my reason for looking is resolved.

Opening the case to photograph the physical board and RAM labels then goggling the images was the solution to that.

Seasons greetings to all.
