HP Pavilion 590-p0053w, Intel i5-8400, 8GB RAM, 16GB Intel Optane, 1TB HDD, Windows 10 Home
I am interested in buying a new HP desktop with the specs shown above, and I understand all of them except I don't know what 16GB Intel Optane is? Can you enlighten me on this please.

Hi:
Intel Optane memory accelerates the hard drive.
This link will explain what it does.

Personally, I would be removing the Optane memory and installing a NVMe M.2 SSD in its place.
I'd probably remove the hard drive too or use it for extra storage.
