- Disabling the Welcome Message on the HP ENVY Desktop
To stop the recurring "Welcome to your new HP" pop-up message, you can try the following steps:
1. Check Startup Programs:
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
- Go to the Startup tab.
- Look for any HP-related programs that might be launching the welcome message.
- Select the program and click Disable.
2. HP Support Assistant Settings:
- Open HP Support Assistant from your Start menu.
- Go to settings or troubleshoot options.
- Look for any options related to welcome messages or startup pop-ups and disable them.
3. Remove HP Welcome App:
- Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
- Look for any HP-related apps or welcome programs.
- Select the program and click Uninstall.
4. Check Scheduled Tasks:
- Open the Task Scheduler from the Start menu.
- Look under Task Scheduler Library for any tasks related to HP welcome messages.
- If found, right-click the task and choose Disable.
After performing these steps, restart your desktop to ensure that the settings take effect.
