- How do you disable the touch screen on an HP computer?
To disable the touch screen, open Device Manager, find the listing for Human Interface Devices and expand it. Right-click HID-compliant touch screen and select Disable. Click Yes to confirm.
To restore the touch screen functionality, repeat these steps but select Enable instead of Disable.

@djsailaway Greetings from the HP Community!
Note: Please ensure the complete product name/number for a quicker response from the community, as we need to know what we are dealing with to provide an accurate solution:
Click here for steps on finding the information we need!
Remember: Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.
Also, which program are you saving the file from?
Meanwhile, here's how it works on most programs that work on Windows 10:
- Launch the File Save dialog. In the File menu, select the Save As menu item.
- Name the file. Open the folder containing the desired file. ...
- Select the desired folder (in your case, the Desktop) in which to save the file. ...
- Specify a file format type.
- Click on the Save button
Let me know how that pans out,
If you feel I was helpful, simply click on Accept as Solution to help the community grow,
That said, I will have someone follow-up on this to ensure you've been helped,
Just in case you don't get back to us within 24 - 48hrs, and have a good day, ahead.

If you're trying to disable the Touch Screen because of Ghost Touch, and the ghost touch is so bad that it doesn't allow you to use the mouse & keyboard properly, then there is another way, but your webcam will also be disabled.
Turn on the PC and keep tapping F10. Go to the Security tab and USB Ports. DISABLE the INTERNAL USB ports. This will disable the touch screen & webcam.
This will at least allow you to use the PC until you can arrange to get the touch screen fixed or your data off etc..
