Finding the Serial Number on HP Products

The serial number of your HP product is crucial for warranty checks, repairs, and accessing support. Here's how to locate it:

Common Locations

  1. Laptops and Desktops:

    • Check the bottom, sides, or back of the device for a sticker or stamp with the serial number.
    • If the device has a removable battery, check the battery compartment.

  2. Printers:

    • Look on the back, inside the ink access area, or inside the cartridge access door.

  3. Monitors:

    • Check the back of the monitor where product details are often clustered together.
    • Access monitor settings using the on-screen menu to find "Information."

  4. Other Devices (e.g., Speakers, Webcams, etc.):

    • Look at the bottom or back of the product.

Using Software to Find Serial Numbers

  1. HP Support Assistant:

    • Pre-installed on most HP devices, or downloadable from the HP Support Assistant webpage.
    • Open the app to view product details, including the serial number.

  2. Windows System Information:

    • On Windows, search for and open "HP System Information" to access product details.
