SPECS:

The issue actually started after I temporarily installed Ubuntu OS on my HDD and then restarted my system.

It went into an endless cycle of diagnosing and restarting whenever I chose the restart system. I was going to use my Win10 CD to reinstall the OS but I couldn't find it so I just ordered a new hard drive.

Before the HDD came I had ordered 16GB of ram and inserted the ram. The computer still booted fine at this point. I wanted to make sure I had ordered the correct RAM and I did, no issues except the win10 diagnosing and asking me to choose to do something else or restart to see if the problem could be fixed.

I decided to test one of the ram sticks with the new ones and the monitor was black, with nothing on it at all. so I restarted my system and it made the 1 short, 1 long beep. Since it had done that previously when I upgraded the RAM I figured it was the same thing. I removed the ram and unplugged the desktop and went through the arduous journey of testing each stick of ram with the new ram and each slot with the old ram and the new ram. nothing changed.

I then looked up the beeps and couldn't come to any definite answer if it was the ram or the added video card. So removed the added video card and connected to the onboard VGA and it still beeped. I ordered a new graphics card but I don't think that is the issue. I read somewhere it could be the BIOS battery....?

Any advice is appreciated.  I'm a web designer so I need my computer to make a living.
