I have windows 10 on there now.

Hopefully, the W7 chipset/null driver will work.

 

There aren't any W10 drivers for those devices.

 

I've used Vista drivers on W10 PC's where I've had to.

I just dont understand why it keeps saying im missing a boot device and then wont allow me back in unless i do an earlier install.  im lost as to what i havent done. but i will try what you have said if the problem persist. thank you again for your time.  my desktop is only at 9% so i will see tomorrow if these answers helped. thank you

Some PC's just don't like W10.

 

If yours had an Intel chipset instead of that nvidia chipset, you probably would have been fine.

 

It has the Intel processor, but not an Intel chipset.

During my search I also found this EXCELLENT website which appears to have complete legacy driver sets for old PCs.
