I also want to describe how BIOS recovery works in HP notebooks. If after a failed BIOS update, when the black screen is turned on (if the BIOS boot block has not been damaged), you can restore using the windows + B keys, and in some models of laptops you can have a combination of windows + esc. IMPORTANT !!! In this recovery mode, you need to know exactly your old version of the BIOS before upgrading. This version of BIOS should be on the recovery flash drive !!! In the event that the boot block has not been affected and the successful restoration of the BIOS has been damaged. In case the boot block of the BIOS was damaged, it is necessary to remove the SPI flash drive and program it with the programmer. To do this, you take the necessary BIOS from the manufacturer's website, unpack it and flash it. Next, the chip is installed in the laptop and when using DOS via the confidential utility HP, you need to register SKU, serial laptop number, UUID.
