Windows os problem

Greetings @asqwer12134a

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Your startup problem is about one of the worst things to happen to a Windows PC.

It is very difficult to fix because it can be caused by many different things:

- A failing system drive

- Corrupt Windows boot loader or other Windows system file corruption

- Registry corruption

Check Hardware:

Check your PC's hardware using HP Diagnostics as follows:

Start the PC. Repeatedly tap the "ESC" key.

Select "F2". Run extensive system and component tests to confirm: a drive problem, a memory problem, or other component problem.

HP also has a bootable USB diagnostic tool (4 in 1 USB Key) to check hardware when you can't access the local UEFI diagnostics tool. But I can't get to this download site at this time. Maybe you can download it. Search for HP 4 in 1 USB Key Diagnostics Tool.

Troubleshoot Windows Startup Problems:

You could try troubleshooting by: forcing the PC to load the WinRE, use W11 installation media to attempt a repair, or use a W11 recovery drive if you created this.

You could force WinRE by starting the PC and shutting the PC down three times (using the power button) before Windows attempts to load.

Create W11 install media for your version of W11. Very difficult if you are not running the current version (24H2).

I would guess you did not create a W11 recovery drive.

Sadly, in most cases all of the above remedies usually fail.

Reinstall Windows:

This means you may have to back up data on the system drive. Then do a W11 reinstall or a HP Cloud Recovery.

You'll have to remove the system drive, connect it to a different PC, then backup data if you must reinstall Windows.

But review "additional help" below before reinstalling Windows.

Additional Help:

Maybe something at this Site might help. Also try this Site.

Or watch this Video on a way to fix a corrupted W11 boot loader. I don't know if your problem is a corrupted boot loader.

A corrupted registry has no fix, unless you had previously enabled this function, since Microsoft shut down automated registry backups.

Search for additional fixes. Maybe you will find something of interest.

I avoid this problem by using disk imaging software. I use AOMEI Backupper Pro. I can recover a, known good, Windows system image backup in about five minutes.

Regards
