Product: HP ENVY Laptop 14
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hello,
I am facing strange issue with HP laptop HP ENVY Laptop 14, the scenario is mentioned as below, please suggest.
- I have purchased laptop “HP ENVY Laptop 14”.
- Laptop is pre-loaded with Windows 10 Home & defaults software provided by HP.
- I purchased Pro key & converted home edition to Pro edition by updating product key.
- Now when I am trying to onboard laptop using Windows autopilot (Hybird) method, it’s getting failed.
- As I found that, after autopilot process is completed, laptop name is getting reset to default automatically. This is resulting with error “Trust relationship is broken with local AD”
Here can someone pls confirm, if there is any parameter configured (OS hardening) in the OS image installed by HP, which is not allowing to change the device name or resetting it to default.

From what I read, Windows Autopilot is an Enterprise feature with Azure devices -- and we do not provide any Enterprise support here. We only provide consumer support.
And HP Enterprise does not provide support to individuals, only to corporations with support agreements.
I am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor represent, HP
