@Charithardy_822, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're experiencing some significant battery issues with your HP Laptop PC 15s-fq2000. Here are a few steps you can try to diagnose and potentially resolve the problem:

Run HP Hardware Diagnostics

  • Press Esc during startup, then F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
  • Select Component Tests > Power > Battery.
  • Run the battery check and see if it says "Battery OK" or "Replace Battery".
  • Take a screenshot or note the Battery Wear Level (if shown).

Update BIOS and Drivers

  1. BIOS update
  2. Chipset drivers
  3. Battery/power management driver (if available)

Calibrate the Battery

Sometimes the system needs to re-learn the battery’s actual capacity.
Battery calibration steps:

  1. Charge to 100%, then unplug.
  2. Let the battery drain to 0% (let it shut off naturally).
  3. Wait 1 hour, then fully charge back to 100% without using the laptop.
  4. Restart after full charge. This helps the system realign the battery level readings.

Try a Different Power Adapter (if possible)

If the battery charges extremely fast or erratically, the power adapter or the internal charging circuit might be malfunctioning. If you have another compatible charger, test it.
