BIOS will not update.

My BIOS is saying that the system update for it failed, and it cannot open BIOS image file. I have no idea what it wants me to do and it counts down from 15 and retrys over and over.

What caused the problem in the first place?
Power glitch?
Upgrade to windows 11?
Microsoft or HP update?
Add a new device, memory, etc?

It seems to be looking for the bios image.  I am not sure why but clearly it cannot find it.  Possibly the bios image can be placed on a USB flash drive and your system might find it.

What is your product ID and model?  Possibly I can find a bios.  It may be necessary to get the board ID from the motherboard in case there are variations in the motherboard design.

My Pavillion Hp gaming laptop 15-dk1xxx is where the problem is, it updated and restarted out of nowhere and is just stuck on the BIOS update screen, I cannot go anywhere else on my computer all I can do is run system test get diagnostic information and try to find the BIOS image in one of the menus. The product ID is: 1H8C1UA#ABA. I really appreciate the help

First, please check your warranty using your serial number

If in warranty then you can turn the problem over to HP.

Basically you use another windows system to download the BIOS executable and then run the program but tell it to create a USB recovery', then put the USB in your laptop and have the laptop look for the bios in the USB drive

However, if you turn on the laptop and it starts looking for the file then just put the flash drive  in
