Hi @mesay11

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I hear your frustration, and I want to clarify something important: if Call of Duty is still warning you about BIOS firmware even after multiple updates, the issue is not the BIOS itself but the system’s security configuration.

Updating the BIOS alone won’t satisfy anti‑cheat requirements unless Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 are properly enabled and recognized by Windows. In other words, the game is flagging the attestation state of your PC, not just the BIOS version.

I would request you to please follow the steps:

Confirm TPM Status in Windows

  • Press Win + R, type tpm.msc, and press Enter.
  • In the TPM Management window:
    • Check Status: It should say “The TPM is ready for use.”
    • Check Specification Version: It must show 2.0.
    • If it shows 1.2 or 1.3, continue with the next steps.

Check BIOS Settings

  • Restart your PC and press Esc or F10 repeatedly during boot to enter BIOS.
  • Navigate to Advanced > Trusted Computing or Security > TPM Configuration.
  • Ensure Firmware TPM (fTPM) is enabled.
  • Save changes and exit.

Update BIOS Manually Even if automatic updates say you're current, manually installing the latest BIOS can unlock TPM 2.0 support and resolve attestation issues.

  • Visit the official HP driver page for your model:
    https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers
  • Download the latest BIOS update listed under “BIOS.”
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to install it carefully.
  • Restart your system after installation.

Enable Game Mode & Anti-Cheat

  • Ensure Windows Game Mode is ON.
  • Ricochet anti-cheat requires TPM + Secure Boot to be both active.

Clear TPM (Optional but Safe)

  • Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Device Security > Security Processor Details.
  • Click Security Processor Troubleshooting > Clear TPM.
  • Follow the prompts and restart your system.

These steps are designed to help your system meet the requirements for games that rely on TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot for integrity and anti-cheat enforcement. I understand how disappointing it is to be blocked from a game you’re excited to play, and I hope this brings you closer to a smooth, uninterrupted experience.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
