I get the BSOD on start up. There seems to be a conflict with Windows 10 and the Nvidia nForce video drivers. Nvidia doesn't seem to have a driver for Windows 10 and this Legacy video adapter. What can be done to end this conflict?

@Tank63
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
I suggest you try these steps for the error message:
Perform SFC Scan:
1. Use Windows shortcut keys Win + X to open the quick menu and then select Command Prompt (Admin).
2. At the command prompt, type the following command sfc /scannow
3. Press ENTER
4. The sfc /scannow command will scan all protected system files, and replace corrupted files. Note Do not close this Command Prompt window until the verification is 100% complete. The scan results will be shown after this process is finished.
Update Graphics drivers:
1. Use Windows shortcut keys Win + X to open Device Manager
2. Click on Display Adapters
3. Right click on drivers and update the drivers.
4. Once completed, restart your PC
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Performed the sfc/scannow as you suggested. The scan did find and repair some corrupt files. As for drivers, I have the only HP drivers available for my hardware installed and the display is correct for this machine. I also searched Nvidia site for drivers that would be compatible for my hardware and Windows 10 with no success. I believe that Microsoft has forgotten about backward compatibility for their operating system. This machine would probably perform well using Windows 7 but I would be on my own with it and Microsoft is already dropping support for some the Windows 10 builds and will probably forsake anything that isn't running on a less than five year old machine soon. I have no confidence in Microsoft any longer and never had any confidence in apple. I believe that I am just too old for computing and definitely for "smart" phones.
