Bios Update for HP Pavilion P6267c

The BIOS on my HP Pavilion P6267c is from 2009.   Is there a more current BIOS available?

Hi:

There is a BIOS update from Aug 6, 2010 (v5.43), but you would need to be running W7 to update to it.

If you attempt to run it in W10, it could permanently wreck your PC, since it was only written to work on W7 or Vista.

Understood.  However, I'm stuck in not being able to update Windows 10.  I'm currently on feature update 1803, and I've tried several times to update to either feature update 1809 or 1903, however, it fails every time with error 0xc1900101  .  I suspect it is because of the out of date BIOS.

Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.  Thanks again.

I doubt that updating a 2009 BIOS version to a 2010 BIOS version would make any difference at all.

They are both way out of date.

Google the code.  I see some potential solutions to getting past that error, such as this one.

I am not a HP employee.

Please see this (Link) which addresses 0xc1900101 error codes when updating Windows 10. You should also see a supplemental error code that can help to zero in on the specific cause of the W10 update failure. You may have hit the end of the Windows 10 update process because your PC is about 10 years old.

As Paul stated, a 2010 BIOS update is not going to fix this problem.
