Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Randomly opened computer to this BitLocker recovery thing. Don’t know password key. Logged in through Microsoft to try to locate key through managed devices and was unsuccessful. Have since tried through command prompt. manage-bde.exe -unlock C: (failed to unlock) and - recoverykey and -password and have been unsuccessful. Please help! I shouldn’t be able to not use my computer to a random update 😑

Hi,

 

If none of the steps in the following link work, then you must reinstall windows from zero.

 

HP PCs - Using BitLocker and finding the recovery key (Windows 11, 10) | HP® Support

 

Just the BitLocker is a security mode that can not be violated, you can only use the key.
