Black screen

PROB: Microsoft sent updates. I selected install then restart. I left the room for 1/2 hour. Returned to blank, black screen. I’ve completed all the tests: system, component, and both short and extensive hard drive tests—all Passed. Called MS who said I was not the first call about this yesterday. They assigned me a Case Number, saying the operating system is not working. I have also performed several other tests per Just Answer.

@WayneJL I suggest you boot the device into safe mode and check if it works, if that does, disable all the Microsoft services using the run command (Windows + R and writing MSCONFIG, then select the services followed by disable services) Once done restart the device back into normal mode and check if that works.
