I have a massive problem that I can't seem to figure out. Yesterday me and friends where having a conversation about driver updates to bios n stuff. On that topic I decided to look on the HP website to see if I needed to update any drivers, I put in my serial number and got a recommended BIOS update so I decided to install it. It installed perfectly fine and went through all the steps but once it was finished and my PC restarted I was immediately met with a blue screen that said INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE. I tried doing a rollback and to my surprise I got the exact same blue screen? So I went to the HP website and downloaded a BIOS update and updated it again. Only to get the same blue screen, now whenever I try to use a different version of the BIOS my PC won't even recognize the USB and try to install it. What do I do? I've looked everywhere for a situation similar to mine but just couldn't find it. I also can't find any sort of factory BIOS for my PC.

Hello

Are you running factory hardware? Did you change the boot device?

Most HP BIOS update will not allow going back to a previous BIOS version.

Look, remove the CMOS battery and let the PC sit for a few minutes. Reinstall the battery to reset CMOS. Go back to the factory boot device if you upgraded this component.

Run HP hardware diagnostics at Boot. Start the PC. Tap "ESC". Select "F2" to run diagnostics.
