Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I cant start the computer up. It wont boot and keeps going to a blue screen saying Automatic repari. I have tried EVERYTHING! I have been through all the prompts on the screen and followed all the suggested troubleshooting that I can get from the virtual assistant. the computer is under warrenty still. PC World have said its a software issue and HP should sort it out but I am not getting anywhere fast. I cant even reset the computer. I am stuck.

Any advise would be very helpful and gratefully received.

Unfortunately, that error message nearly always means that a recent Windows Update failed and Microsoft then tried to recover from that, but that failed, so it's trying over and over again -- and will never succeed because Windows Update got corrupted in the process.

First thing you need to do is see if you can restart in Safe mode -- by doing these steps: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2304-boot-into-safe-mode-windows-10-a.html

If you don't know how to start using Advanced Startup Options, then read this: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2294-boot-advanced-startup-options-windows-10-a.html

Then, follow these steps to reset Windows Update: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/24742-reset-windows-update-windows-10-a.html

If these work, when you finally reboot, you should then be able to login to a working Windows desktop.

Thank you for your help. Unfortunately none of these worked.

I am unable to reset the PC, I am unable to start in safe mode, I am unable to uninstall the updates.

Everything I do keeps coming round to automatic repair and that it can not start, reset or uninstall.

Any other ideas. The computer is still under warrenty. I am also on with HP Support and I seem to be going round in circles doing the same things over and over again.

I will never ever buy another Hewlett Packard product again.  This is awful.  I took the computer back to Staples and they told me the hard drive is gone - possibly corrupted by a Windows update.  The guy stressed to me to buy the extended warranty almost insinuating that this is going to happen over and over again.  he also told me that with the warranty I can get my money back for a new computer (I can tell you it won't be Hewlett Packard).
