HP Pavilion Elite HPE-112y Desktop PC
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello!

I recently got this computer and it is an older model that updated to windows 10 pro.
Thing is, I cannot seem to find out how to install the drivers for Bluetooth on it, as on the HP support site it says my model doesn't support 10 in the options?
I really need the Bluetooth driver as I didn't know this was that much of an older model, nor is the switch there for connection. What should I do?

Thanks and please let me know.

Hi:

Below is the link to the product specs for your PC.

it does not come with built in Bluetooth networking.

Wifi and ethernet only.

You can easily add Bluetooth capability to your PC by purchasing an external USB Bluetooth adapter.

I use this one for example...

Hi Paul,

I also own the Pavilion Elite HPE 112y (purchased new from Best Buy in 2009) and can confirm that it DOES have Bluetooth capabilities from the factory. Mine worked even after upgrading to Windows 10, however, more recently I upgraded my motherboard from the OE micro ATX Aloe board to an ASUS M5A99X and have since lost all Bluetooth functions.

It was my understanding that the Bluetooth hardware was a part of the Qualcomm Atheros Dual Band Wireless adapter,  but as you said, nowhere does the support site show this machine as even being equipped with Bluetooth. Where oh where has my Bluetooth gone?
