I have an HP 24 all-in-one PC. It was on the screensaver and when I went to use it , the screen was frozen. It was simply stuck there. I could not use the mouse or the keyboard. I used the power button to shut it down because it would not do anything and when I turned it back on, I get the "Boot Device Not Found". When I go to F2 system diagnostics, and do a hard drive check like the virtual assistant told me to do, it says "No hard drive installed. Please check that the power and data cables are connected properly." It says that for both quick check and extensive check. I have tried unplugging and re-plugging, shutting down and turning back on. I do not know if there is anything else that I can do to get this PC to work. Suggestions please??? TIA

hi
the hard disk could be damaged
try what is mentioned here
Be careful, because there may be no choice but to perform a recovery, in this case, if not already the case, you will lose all your personal data

You can try several things in order to try to recover your data
You can try a bootable cd / dvd type live cd (linux)

you can try removing the hard drive, in order to connect it to another computer internally, or with a usb adapter!

If your disk is not completely out of order, this gives you a small chance

When your computer tells you the boot device is not found, this means it can't find the hard drive containing the instructions for loading your operating system. Of course, you know the drive is there because you haven't taken your computer apart and physically removed it.
