Are you in warranty? Contact HP Support if you are (Link). HP would replace the HDD if it has failed and you are in warranty.
Your PC shipped with Windows 10 Home 64 bit. It also shipped with a slow, legacy, platter 1 TB HDD.
Did you run "F2" Hardware Diagnostics to verify disk failure? Your PC is about one year old. I would remove the chassis side panel and check power and data connections to the HDD. Also check the SATA data connection on the motherboard.
Premature HDD failure can occur at any point in time.
Or you can install Windows 10 clean at this Microsoft site (Link) using the Windows 10 (W10) media creation tool to create bootable W10 USB media.
Self service storage device replacement options are:
M.2 NVME drive
