Have you run diagnostics?
Tap the ESC key after powering on. . Tap it once a second after you see the LEDs on the keyboard flash. When you see the startup menu, press F2 to run diagnostics.
HP releases newer UEFI diagnostics periodically. When you select F2 during boot you are requesting UEFI diagnostics. There is an updated diagnostics package Click Here Look for the phrase 'issues outside the OS', Expand the '+' symbol and click the DOWNLOAD button. |
If a component fails during the UEFI test then Click here for world-wide contact info

Getting a BSOD on a new system is very unusual, how did it happen?
new device or memory added?
install new application?
Microsoft windows update that failed to finish?
Device driver update?
Try booting into windows safe mode and restore your system to before the problem occurred.
First read this article about safe mode. Skip down to 'Enter safe mode from outside windows. If F11 does not get you into system recovery then try turning the power on and off three or more times in a row.
Try that Startup Repair shown just above.
If that does not work then go for a Restore Point.
This video describes how to use a restore point. Ignore that it shows windows working. Clicking on System Restore will bring up the list of restore points similar to what is in the below video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sixGAIiPTlE
If there are no restore points or the restore point is so far back that you'll lose a lot of programs then you need to bring up the device manager and see if you can fix the problem.
Find the device that has the error icon and try to fix it.
Let me know what you find out.

@Inamorata wrote:I just bought freshly built pc. Hp omen 40l with all new stuff in it. After first install I started to have bsod. I reinstalled system by factory reset and the problem still occurs.
factory reset is not the same are cloud restore.
Do you try cloud restore?
Cloud recovery provides all the custom HP drivers.
Go to the below site and enter your product ID including the 3 characters after the # character
If you have cloud recovery you can restore your system using a 32gb flash.
It may take an hour or more to create the recovery USB.

Alternately, download from the MS windows store

Did you make any changes to the BIOS other than setting the date and time?
Depending on the store policy they may refund the purchase no questions asked.
A possibly problem is that the UEFI test passes. usually factory warranty is for when the UEFI fails.
If the store provides tech support they may reinstall windows for you at no cost.
