How old is the small (size of a CDN $0.25 coin) battery on the motherboard?
If the battery has failed, it no longer provides any "trickle" of voltage to the CMOS, and the values stored in the CMOS have been lost, which generates that error-message.
Replace the battery,.
Cost will be under $5, if you do it yourself.
