Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a 2016 Pavillion all in one PC whose existing hard drive seemed to be failing. I thought I’d upgrade it to an SSD with the same capacity but I am having terrible trouble getting it to work.

the bios detects the drive and I can install the OS but when it comes to reboot it fails with a 3F0 error, no boot disk.

I’ve updated the bios to the latest I can find and I’ve also installed windows to the disk in another PC so I know that’s fine.

what is going on?? I’ve reformatted the disk multiple times and run the disk diagnostics but no luck.

Help, it’s driving me nuts

Update — I tried cloning the drive but still had the same problem, the PC could detect the disk in bios and windows install but wouldn’t boot from it.
I thought I’d check the sata connections so took more of insides apart, the new cables made no difference but I’d uncovered the CMOS battery so thought I’d just reset the bios ( even though I’d reflashed the bios to the latest version and reset to factory settings multiple times) plugged everything back in and it booted first time!!

I’ve tried a couple of different windows 10 media but the same thing I’m afraid. I can install it on an old hard drive but not the new SSD

If you can install it on an HDD hard drive, have you tried making a copy/clone of it, and placing it on the SSD?
Maybe a problem with the model / brand of SSD, have you tested several?
I have already encountered this here, with certain brand models, this seems to be a problem
