Welcome to the HP Forum.

 

I've had this happen many times over the years.

 

Did you try reformatting the USB stick using Windows Disk Management?

 

If yes and this method failed, then see if you can fix the USB stick using Macrorit Partition Expert (free version) available for download at this Site.

 

Macrorit may not be able to help if the USB stick is cooked.

I have tried with Macrorit and USB Flash Driver Tool (Ufix III) but still it remains with write protection. Do you know about another tool please?

Sorry to see you can't reformat the USB stick.

 

This USB drive may be toast. I have never encountered a write protected USB stick.

 

I'm out of suggestions.
