I cannot open my photos. The file seems to be there but why I attempt to open a JPEG, I get an error message box that shows my string (C;\Users\...etc) but at the bottom of the it says "Data is invalid." I have run the troubleshooting icons to no avail Help!

Dear Lobo,
That seems like an OS (Windows) file/application=default-app problem, not your HP computer. Try doing an internet search for Infraview 64 and download/then install it. Reboot, then go to Settings -> Applications -> Default Applications -> Images/pictures and select Infraview 64 as the default image viewer.
If you already have it, re-install it and set it as the default viewer.
Cheers,
Rick.

That message means the picture file is corrupted -- and there is really no reliable way to fix it.
There is an application that CLAIMS to be able to fix corrupted JPEG files -- Stellar Repair for Photo -- and they offer a free TRIAL version that will claim to repair a file but only allow you to view it, not save the repaired file. It's worth trying to see if it works for you -- I have tried it and it does NOT work for me.
