Touchpad! I hate it. Tried to disable, it comes back. Tried to uninstall, it comes back. Tried every possible solution offered on various microsoft sites, message boards, computer gurus, etc., and it just keeps coming back. I have lost many transmissions and input of text messages, and even trying to sign up here the screen flipped into other views several times. I am going to send this back for a refund to QVC with a review stating this problem. (I have to use a mouse)
Is there any hope for getting this horrible touchpad affliction off of my new computer?
(and no thanks for making it impossible to get saved bookmarks in html, and to not have them import on the new computer because I had to download new browers and with that, lost the bookmarks.
Fortunately, my old Samsung computer is fine...just old...so I shall be using it to accomplish daily tasks.
Any suggestions as to how to completely kill the touchpad function?

Okay. I just typed a paragraph to you here, and the cursor hopped up to the of the page and I lost that paragraph. I am so irritated I'm ready to use this horrible machine as a Frisbee.
I have disabled and uninstalled both the touchpad and the touch screen numerous times. Soon, a box comes up on the screen saying I have to reboot to reinstall the touchpad. That box will not go away until I do. Likewise the password signin. I unchecked the box to use a password at signin, but as soon as I put the machine to sleep, or reboot for something else, the password screen is back. This is just too stressful.
