My husband died of COVID. I have his Pavilion 23 desk computer Model 23-h056. I would like to access his desktop to retrieve some music he wrote for his memorial concert. I do not know his password and when I try to change it I get a message saying, This feature requires removable media such as a UBS flash drive.
I put a UBS flash drive in every one of the four UBS ports, but it doesn’t recognize them. Please help! Linda741

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'm really sorry for you loss. I wish you strength to overcome this situation.
I recommend you to get the device to a local tech store, to have the data recovered onto an external drive and them reformat the internal laptop drive.
