I am wondering if my desktop is still compatible with most recent updates?

@LauraM1378,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Your HP 24-e058cy All-in-One Desktop PC (Z5P55AA) was first released in November 2017, meaning, your AIO would be considered a legacy PC as it has passed its EOL (End of Life) mark.

Your AIO is fitted with a 7th gen Intel processor, meaning, this processor according to Microsoft is not Windows 11 eligible.

Nevertheless, if you are happy with your AIO, there are a number of ways to safely and easily upgrade to Windows 11, such as explained quite well in this YouTube instructional video.  I know this works very well as I have used this 'conversion' method on one of my desktops recently: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSrmhhigEhY&t=332s&ab_channel=Tips2Fix.

In terms of updates, here is your AIO's HP drivers update link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/hp-24-e000-all-in-one-desktop-pc-series/model/19124988?sku=Z5P5...:

Your AIO is fitted with one of the "SSID" motherboards, with its associated BIOS update.  In order to figure out what motherboard/SSID you got, please type in: system information in your lower search bar, and click on the System Information app, and then look to the right of "BaseBoard Product", where the SSID code will be displayed.  This alphanumerical number will be either 81BA, 8245, 8381, or 82DD.

Next (still in the System Information display), look to the right of "BIOS Version/Date", and compare this information against the latest HP BIOS version as listed above, and then if your SSID's BIOS version is not the most recent, download that particular BIOS update and install it.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
