Product: Example: Pavilion 6530HP V22 FHD monitor
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have just bought this monitor but my computer stack does not have a HDMI connection so I bought a male/female HDMI/VGA adapter to make it possible to connect things up but it doesn’t seem to work. Any suggestions?

From HDMI (digital) to VGA (analog) you need a proper converter. Are you sure the male/female HDMI/VGA adapter does have converter function  in between ?

Thanks for response. It doesn’t have a converter indication but am going to get a VGA/ VGA cable which should do the trick

Hi,

Most computers have the VGA, DVI and HDMI connection ports with some laptops coming with thunderbolt, USB ports and an HDMI adapter only. So, for example, if your monitor has a VGA connection, and so does your computer, then use a VGA cable to connect the two.
