Hi,
Dell E2216HVM is not an HP product but yes, it is compatible. The only thing you need to check: it only has VGA port therefore you need to use the right cable/adapter to connect it to your computer. In my case, I have to use DVI to VGA to connect it to my Lenovo port replicator.
