After installing an updated version of the Bios driver my PC began to slow immensely. I'm not sure as to how to fix the issue rather I would like to remove the updated version completely but even after resetting my systems updates it's still running slow.

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

If your PC is running slower immediately after doing: a HP factory reset, a Windows 10 reset, or a clean Windows installation it may be the BIOS update.

HP BIOS updates are usually not reversible.

The BIOS update may have included microcode to mitigate micro architectural data sampling flaws in many newer Intel processors. The downside to this BIOS fix may cause reduced PC performance.

The slow down could be caused by something else (check hardware) but a fresh Windows installation should fix sluggish performance issues.

Hardware Check:

Start the PC

Tap "ESC"

Select "F2"

Run System Tests

Thanks for the insight but I was unfortunately unable to fix it. In the end I'll just backup my files and probably get a new PC but thanks anyways.
