Desktop won’t turn on

I tried to turn my desktop on and it won’t turn on. I tried to do the hard reset. But I noticed when I plugged the cord into the wall the power supply box had a little green light on it but then I went and plugged it into the monitor and the little green light shut off. I unplugged the cord from the monitor and the light doesn’t come back on and the monitor won’t turn on.

difficult to make a diagnosis like that, but from what you mention the charger seems out of order
but it could be something else
