I seem to have lost my E Memory block - any suggestions please.

Can you explain the issue in detail?

 

If possible share the picture or screenshot of the E memory block.

I am not very computer literate but I am advised that-

"The drive is a physical one not a memory portion. There may be a BIOS error which meant the hard drive is not recognised."

 

Certainly there is a block of memory missing  of probably 3 TB

The computer seems to be working well except for a long booting time of some 5 minutes but this may be nothing to do with the other problem.

I'd suggest try updating the computer and check -

 

Step 1 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

 

Step 2 HP Support Assistant Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.
