I was to sell the PC, and i accomplished hard reset. Everything went well and the pc restarted, as long as I selected language and area, screen went black, now it doesn’t post, i’ve tried everything and begin to get worried. I already tried the cmos clear removing the battery, there’s also cmos clear pins on my motherboard but im not sure wich pins to short. Im so grateful for your help.

Hi @pelittäjä777,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

Shorting the wrong pins can damage the motherboard, so it’s not worth experimenting without the exact board diagram.

At this point, the safest and most effective move is to take the PC to an official HP-authorized service center. They’ll have the proper tools to:

Reflash or recover the BIOS

Check motherboard-level faults

Diagnose why POST is failing after reset

You can find the nearest service center here:

Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀

Best regards,

I'm an HP Employee.
