Hi,

Please, could someone help me,

I have an error 208 for an unknown device in device manager on PCI Express Root Complex.

I get the following hardware ids,

ACPI\VEN_HPQ&DEV_000B

ACPI\HPQ000B

*HPQ000B

I cannot find a solution.

Thank you

Phil

Hi, Phil:

This is the only driver available...

Type:
Driver - System Management
Version: 1.4.0.0(13 Oct 2010)
Operating System(s):
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 for 64-bit Extended Systems
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 x64

The only way you can try to install this driver would be manually as follows...

I have zipped up and attached the driver file below.

Unzip the file to its folder.  Do not do anything with the files in the folder.

Go to the device manager.  Click on the ACPI\VEN_HPQ&DEV_000B device needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver.

Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the unzipped driver folder.

Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked and hopefully the driver will install.

Then restart the server.

Here is a partial copy and paste of the driver setup information file which shows driver support for the hardware ID you posted...

[Manufacturer]
%HP_MFG% = HPDevices, NTx86, NTamd64

[HPDevices.NTamd64]
%HPQMGMT.DESC% = hpqmgmt, *HPQ000B

You're very welcome.

As a side note, HP split into two companies a few years ago.

HP and HP Enterprise (HPE).

HP supports PC's, printers, tablets, and calculators

HPE supports servers, switches, routers, tape drives.

There is a separate HPE support forum, and within that forum is a section for ProLiant servers, which you may find useful in the future.
