The screen doesn't come up on start up. I was told I need factory image restore or replacement recovery media and since my computer did not come with any recovery disk, I am requesting them now. I tried to click on my product but it will not allow me to.

Greetings @Cookie1366
Welcome to the HP Forum.
HP no longer provides physical recovery media (DVDs or USB sticks).
There is no guarantee doing a HP factory operating system installation will fix your problem.
Lack of video output can also be a hardware problem. It depends on how your PC reacts when you depress the power button.
Anyway, you would have to determine your PC's specific HP Product Number to check for a HP Cloud Recovery option.
You can then check if your PC qualifies for a Cloud Recovery using the full product number at this HP Site.
HP Cloud Recovery details can reviewed at this HP Site.
