I forgot my System Restore Password

I understand you've forgotten your system restore password for an HP device. You typically cannot recover the password, but you may reset it depending on your device and its operating system.
 

Steps to Consider:

Password Reset Options:
 

  • On Windows, if you have set up security questions or a recovery email, you can attempt a password reset using those options on the login screen.

Use Another Account:
 

  • If another administrator account is available, you can use it to reset the password for the account you've forgotten.

Boot Options:
 

  • Use a recovery disk or installation media to perform a system repair or restore to factory settings, which may remove the password.
