HP Pavilion 580-015na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I bought around 5 months ago this gaming desktop, the HP Pavilion 580-015na and i now want to upgrade the GPU.

At the moment it is a Geforce GTX 1050 and it came with it. I'm looking to upgrade to something like a 1060, or a 1070. The case is quite small though so i don't really know if it will fit physically because im no expert... I looked at the GTX 1060 6gb Mini and this measured at 6.9 x 4.4 inches. The 1050 is at 5.7x4.4 inches. I also viewed the 1070 Mini which came in at 8.3 x 4.8 inches. I just need to know if they fit physically and if they are compatible with everything else.  I will probably look at other cards too, but i like these ones.

I have:

• i5 7400

•GTX 1050

•8gb ddr4 ram

•180 W uATX Energy Star 6.0 internal power supply

I am aware about the power supply aswell and how it may need changes, so if you can reccommend one if i do need a different one please could you and i'm slowly trying to upgrade everything else.

Thanks

-Matt

Your computer: HP Pavilion Power 580-015na Desktop PC Product Specifications

has a possible processor-upgrade (currently 3.0 Ghz, replacement 3.6 Ghz) -- both quad-core units.

That's not a "huge" increase, and you would notice it only when running "flat-out" on all 4 cores.

As to the graphics adapter, why not just open the case, to expose the current one, and see if the extra length of the proposed adapter does not physically collide with something?  You may be able to re-route "power" and "data" cables to go "around" the proposed adapter.
