Intel Pentium Gold

Got the computer two days ago and now when I print something The colors are faded and white washed and the picture is not clear. I’ve tried adjusting the settings and I have worked with my printer and I found that it’s definitely not the printer it’s definitely the computer but I just can’t seem to figure out how to fix it.

A few possibilities:

1. your printer is running out of ink, or toner.

2. some 3-colour inkjet printers have no "black" ink -- they mix all 3 colours to approximate black. So, one of those ink-cartridges could be near-empty.

3. you have configured the printer to not print in colour, but to print in "grey-scale" (various shades of black).

4. can you launch a "self-test" from the printer's own controls, to see what a print NOT initiated from your computer will print (colour? black?)

What manufacturer and model-number of printer?

How old?

How long since you replaced the ink/toner?

Is there an indicator on the printer on the level of ink in each cartridge?

Is there some software on your computer to query the level of ink in each cartridge?
