HP Pavilion
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)
Good day, i can't have access to my personal desktop computer, HP Pavilion, When i try to open it there is a note "The connection computer-client group's policy failed, access is not permitted" It is a home computer and the OS is Windows 7 pro. I can have access only to Bios. I do not have a second account to enter from there and fix it. I do not have the Windows disk. Does anyone knows why that happen and a way to fix it ? Thanks

@bilyn17 -- is there a Microsoft decal on the outside of the computer, showing the 25-character Windows product-key?

If so, you can use that product-key to upgrade from Windows 7 (Microsoft support ended in January 2020) to Windows 10 (will be supported until October 2025).

1. Disconnect your current disk-drive.

2. Purchase and connect a brand-new disk-drive into your computer.

3. Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

4. Install Windows 10

5. reconnect the old disk-drive as a "secondary" disk-drive, and copy your personal files from the old disk-drive to the new disk-drive.
