Microsoft Windows 11

I have an HP Pavillion 27 C1007 All in One with HDMI in.  When switching from Windows to HDMI the keyboard shortcut is Control ,Shift, S, D all held down together. This works ok except that Control, Shift is also the shortcut for Save As so this annoyingly appears in Windows as well.

Is there a way to change the HDMI switching shortcut please ?

Thank you for your reply but I cannot see how updating the BIOS solves my problem

Hi @David-Martin

BIOS update will have any pending drivers updated. Request you to try another HDMI port and see if the issue persists

Keep me posted

Take care and have a good day.

Thank you for your reply.  I checked the Bios as you suggested but it is up to date. There is only one HDMI "in" port so no opportunity to use an alternative..

The problem I originally reported was that switching from Windows to HDMI in using the recommended keyboard shortcut caused unwanted menu tems to appear in open applications as the HDMI shortcut also activated things like "save as".

It would have been better to have a dedicated button on the PC to switch inputs thus avoiding the above problem.

My original thought was to try to change the shortcut to an alternative to avoid the clash but I have now realised that all combinations of the possible HDMI shortcuts offered by HP clash with another Windows shortcut.

My workaround now is simply to open the Windows Desktop before switching to HDMI in which solves the problem.

I think we can now consider this issue closed thank you.
